As I'm sure you already know, there’s a person behind the words, the wandering, and the chaos. That person is me — Lynsey. I’m a mom, a bookworm, a chronic overthinker, and a proud go‑against‑the‑grain‑er. I started The Wayward Rambler because I needed a place to spill my curiosities, ramblings, and observations — to evict them from the confines of my mind and give them somewhere to land.

 

I’ve always been the type to wonder, question, and find magic in the mundane. This space is where all of that lives: the thoughts that wander and sometimes overstay their welcome, creative quips that fight to make it to paper (or screen), and even just the everyday motions that don't always seem so magical.

 

And while I appreciate the magic hidden in ordinary moments, I also long for the magic of other realms. I find myself called to worlds of fae courts, dragons, and thrilling quests sprinkled (or doused) in romance — and sometimes something a bit more… spicy. My reading tastes wander just as much as my thoughts: from Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children to Bat Eater and Other Names for Cora Zeng, to Fourth Wing, Quicksilver. Whether it’s romantasy, horror, adventure fantasy, or a romance that’s soft and cozy, or absolutely unhinged, there’s no better escape from the real world than a few hours flipping pages — or losing myself in Kindle Unlimited.
